IDA RED SONG & GAME
Ida Red
How to play: Students sit in a circle and one student is chosen to be the mail carrier. The mail carrier picks 2 cards (a red and blue one) from the bag. They walk around the circle carrying the two envelopes while the class sings the song. At the end, the mail carrier stops in front of two students. Each student gets an envelope and inside are slips of paper each with a different way they could travel around the circle. Those 2 students go opposite ways, moving like the card they received. Eg. Bear crawl, crab walk, speed walk, skip…. Choose a new mail carrier and continue on with rounds.
