Gr. K-2 Music Home Learning

This week a music package went home with some music activities for K-2 students.  If you did not receive it and would like it, here is a PDF of the package:  Music K-2 Home Package
THIS PACKAGE INCLUDES
1. MUSICAL SCAVENGER HUNT
Check of as many boxes as you can.
See if you can do one each day!

2. RHYTHM COMPOSITION
Compose your own rhythm composition and play it using items in your house.  Experiment to see what different sounds you can make out of everyday items like cans from the pantry, pots and pans, or tables and chairs.  Perform your composition for the people in your house.

3. CREATE A SOUND STORY
Using sounds you can make with items around your house, complete the Sound Story with different sound effects to make the story more interesting.  Be creative and find the interesting sounds.  CHALLENGE:  Write your own sound story!

4.  PRACTICE O CANADA VERSIONS
We’ve been learning the English and bilingual versions of O Canada.  Find a recording of the French version and sing along.  CHALLENGE:  Find a different version of O Canada in a different language.

Most of the music classes will be through SeeSaw Login.  I am in the process of setting up classes and music activities.  Please check your child's account by Monday afternoon for music lessons.  All students should have received a login code from their homeroom teachers but if you did not, please contact me right away and I can get it to you: julianna.rempel@sjasd.ca  If you need help, please don't hesitate to contact me.
